Hines Fort Halstead

Fort Halstead is a brownfield site in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Green Belt in Kent. Formerly owned by the Ministry of Defence, its regeneration is being led by Hines. ZZA are commissioned to facilitate development of an exemplary sustainable scheme of which all the project stakeholders will be proud.

ZZA has worked with key local parties to build a shared vision for Fort Halstead. The resultant mixed use agenda derives from this community engagement – through interviews, workshops and exhibitions, marshalling and distilling a wide range of views. A major strand of ZZA’s work is with the project team, articulating and championing the shared vision in the masterplan evolution and design charettes.
